Recombinant human CCL11 is expressed in E. coli, refolded and purified to yield the 74 residue mature protein that is secreted from cells after cleavage of the signal peptide. Human CCL11, also known as Eotaxin and Eosinophil chemotactic protein, is a potent mediator of eosinophil attraction through activation of the G protein-coupled receptor CRR3. CCL11 is produced by IFN-g-stimulated endothelial cells and TNF-activated monocytes.
