Recombinant human CXCL17 protein is expressed in E. coli, refolded and purified as a 96 residue polypeptide. Human CXCL17, also known as Dendritic cell and monocyte chemokine-like protein (DMC), or as VEGF-correlated chemokine-1 (VCC-1) is the ligand for the G protein coupled receptor 35 (GPR35) or CXCR8. Recent research documents that CXCL17 plays a role in tumor progression and inflamation and human disease. Studies also suggest that CXCL17 has an important physiological role in both homeostatic and inflammatory conditions.
